About Scotta Group

Founded in 1987 in the electrical automation sector, SCOTTA Group today specializes in hydroelectric powerplants, electricity generation systems, and industrial automation, driven by continuous innovation and excellence.

Growth and Diversification

Established with the goal of becoming a leader in automated systems, SCOTTA expanded in the early 1990s into the hydroelectric sector, as well as ski lifts, snow-making systems, and automated industrial production lines.
Hydroelectric plant construction quickly became the company’s primary focus. By the early 2000s, SCOTTA began producing its first turbines, culminating in the first “Made in SCOTTA” turbine in 2005, reflecting a commitment to innovation and system integration.

Subsequent developments led to the company’s international expansion, including the opening of SCOTTA Chile in 2006, enabling direct access to new markets.

In 2021, SCOTTA Group further strengthened its capabilities through the acquisition of Turboinštitut. Based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Turboinštitut brings over 70 years of expertise in large turbine production and the hydroelectric power sector.
